Aphids piggyback

It was only today that I noticed that this photograph had two aphids piggybacking on the left-most frog. That helps to give a sense of scale.

Mini-frog

The pineapple sage outside the kitchen window has started flowering – and it’s full of frogs. The flowers may be attracting bugs which the frogs like to snack on. These particular frogs are tiny 3 cm (1 inch) chunks of green which may, in the grand wheel of life, become snacks for the black snakes that like to pass through this area.
