
…, then, after the line printer had done its bit to consume a few trees, somebody had to split the z-fold output into per-user jobs. It was Warren’s turn to to this deed as I passed by with film in camera some 25 years ago. The printout was then deposited in the pigeon holes (top left) where the users of the mainframe could pick up their output.
