Line of posts

It was an interesting challenge to find the line of old posts in the long’ish grass at Riverside in Oxley Wild Rivers National Park. The feat turned out to be easiest when using one’s feet to shuffle along the ground and feel for depressions in the ground where the remains of the cattle yard post holes could be felt. Pink tape marks those spots.

There’s no easy way to tell the age of the yards that were mapped – again, best guess is the 1870′s.
