Sydney: Grand old brick building

The filtered sunlight almost acts as a spotlight to illuminate this old building. I must take more notice next time I pass by, to see if I can identify it – and its history. The photograph was taken from Sydney’s Inner West CityRail line, not too far from Central Station.

On this trip to Sydney, I notice that when I smile at people as they pass, they look at me strangely. They must wonder why. A country boy in the city.
