Outback 2009: William Creek

The only township between Maree and Oodnadatta is William Creek (population 6). It’s a place to break the journey, to find food and ale, fuel, or a place to camp for the night. This view is of the William Creek Hotel in late afternoon light.

We’re still following the old Ghan Railway line for which William Creek was originally established in 1885.
