Moving north from Lyndhurst sees us at Marree, South Australia. Marree, another hamlet that owed its existence to the old Ghan Railway, is now a stopover for outback travellers on the Birdsville and Oodnadatta Tracks.
Here the Marree Hotel sits looking across the road to the now-unused railway line (out of sight to the left).

Great photo! One road in, one road out, stretching along the dry earth – meeting the clear blue sky in the distance. Love the character in the hotel chimney – appears to be painted in Port Power colors!
