
Summer is storm season around here. We mostly fear hail storms rather than just the “normal” thunder/lighting/wind/rain events. Golf-ball size hailstones are just so damaging. Just about all of the roofs in Armidale (being iron roofs) had to be replaced after a major hail storm in 1996, for example.
This hail here, looking out my office window, is the first hail storm of the season.
