The monorail in Sydney’s CBD is more of a tourist attraction than a commuter transporter – but it’s nice to see all the same.

Look at the sag in two of the monorail support beams. One between the two pillars with the big “P” signs and the other is its adjoining beam further up the street. A third beam, the one closer to the camera than the two “tired” beams, appears dead straight.
Also, what is the purpose of the loud speakers mounted on the traffic light pole? They have a distinctly Orwellian feel about them.
Foreshorten distance and the “snapshot in time” nature of photos brings out details that are you rarely notice with the naked eye.
