Given the ongoing pattern of wet weather, we’ve had quite a bit of rain in the past few months. A recent particularly heavy downpour in the catchment area caused the Dumaresq Creek burst its banks. A consequence of this was that the playing fields at the University of New England were out of action for a while!
For a time this body of water, foreground to background, became the new width of the Dumaresq Creek and flowed right to left. [In drier times the Creek contracts to be only a tiny trickle less than a metre (3 feet) in width].
