The lookout with nothing to look out upon. The mist is low and thick. The Macleay River is way down there; somewhere.

Sections of the Threlfall track between the old dam and the penstock run through cuttings excavated from the original ground level. Wooden flumes were run through these cuttings to maintain a constant gradient for the water to flow down.
