Native fuschia

A Correa in flower.

[Update: Ken lets me know it’s actually a Native Fuschia (Epacris longifolia). That would explain why I couldn’t find it under Correa! And why it looks like some of the heath plants around here.].

I understand that the native name for this plant is Talinga ! I named my home with this name after a short stay on a sheep station near Woodstock NSW while on a short spell away from the Korean War. It`s only today that I found this out while surfing the web, I have often wondered where the name originated. Now I can tell people who ask. I also enjoy growing fuchsias, but have never heatd of this one before. Derek, Norfolk ,England. ( thanks for the photo )
