I had a stroll around part of the property this afternoon to see what there was in the way of late-winter flowering. I believe this is a member of the Heath family (Epacridaceae). And, given my extensive career as a pseudo-botanist, I think it’s an Urn Heath (Melichrus urceolatus). This specimen is about 20 cm (8 inches) tall.
