
After an unexpected 7-day stay in Innamincka the travellers begin to assemble for the great escape east. The tracks were still officially closed at this point, so we had a police escort to lead us from South Australia into Queensland. Not wishing to be part of the main convoy, we hung back for about 15 minutes, then departed. Good-bye Innamincka. We’ll be back.
