A different view of the Woodsreef Asbestos Mine. This time I’ve attempted to convey the sense of abandoned, closed for business, and out of bounds.

Today we headed west. Bundarra, Barraba, and Mt Kaputar National Park.
The first stop was at the abandoned Woodsreef Asbestos Mine which sits between Bundarra and Barraba. I had heard of Woodsreef and the asbestos mine, but to be honest, I didn’t realise that it was relatively close to home. The next surprise was the size of the building. We speculated that it must be the largest building north of Newcastle.
