Some 20 km from Wilpena Pound lies the Sacred Canyon. It’s a small, narrow canyon or chasm which has Aboriginal petroglyphs chipped into the rocks walls. We didn’t walk all the way up as the path was blocked by hundreds of bees making the most of the remaining moisture in the damp sand and drying-up rock pools.
