Quilpie: end of the line

End of the line

The Westlander passenger train runs from Brisbane on the coast to Charleville on the edge of the Queensland outback. These days you have to transfer to a bus to travel further west to Quilpie even though the railway line runs to that small town.

Here, at Quipie, is the end of the line. Beyond Quilpie… there be dragons, red dirt, heat, dust and haze.
