Young grass trees

Young grass trees

Just for a change, this weekend’s bushwalking didn’t involve a gorge :-) Instead we spent time around, and in the vicinity of, Dumaresq Dam, not far from Armidale. Once upon a time the dam held the main water supply for Armidale but is now a recreation area.

Pictured here, in the foreground, are some young grass trees; more mature grass trees are close by, but out of sight.
