
We spent a beautiful winter’s day in part of the Oxley Wild Rivers National Park. In all my time living in this area, I’d never been to this particular park of the Park. This view is seen from the lookout at Budds Mare; Paradise Rocks are on the right hand side and extend further to the right. The Apsley River sits at the foot of the gorge, out of sight.
As the crow flies, this country is a little less than 50 km (30 miles) from home. By road, though, it’s 136 km (85 miles) distant.
