
The patch of mist up on the hill caught my eye this morning. It looks like smoke more than anything else.
Mist usually sits in the creek beds and valleys – here it’s halfway up (or down) the hill. Out of view to the right is a very large mist mass (probably coming up from the Gara river a few kilometres away). I think what’s happening here is that some of the mist is slipping over a ridge or saddle from right to left in the field of view and ends up looking as we see it.
