The dogs (Border Collies) live outside. It was -7 degC (19 degF) this morning when I went out to let them take me for a jog. Their thick coats, however, do a fine job keeping them warm (although I have seen them shiver when it gets down to -15 degC (5 degF) overnight. They greeted me enthusiastically before we headed off to inspect the day’s beginning.
Looking a little like a covering of snow this paddock is only growing ice crystals. A decent frost. The sunny pokes cheerily over the hill to light the background gum trees – and to give short shrift to the early chill.
