Looking across Perth we see a large amount of smoke – perhaps just grasses being burnt off outside the city. I didn’t hear any reports of a major fire anywhere that day though.

Quite an amazing shot. It actually took me a second to see the smoke with my eye drawn to the detail in the foreground.
Unfortunately, bush fires seem to occur almost daily around Perth, most started deliberately, though not so often at this time of the year.
