
A closer view of part of the image shown yesterday. I like the tall house on the right which, I can only imagine, has been built to peek over the top on the hill and thus see across the water to Magnetic Island.
When I arrived in Townsville it was raining heavily (unlike at home which hadn’t seen rain for some weeks). Given that Townsville sits in the tropics (at 19 degrees south of the equator), I was surprised to learn that they’ve had more rain in April than in the previous 3 months of the year (which is the traditional rainy season).
