
Here’s the Gara River crossing I use most days on the way home from work. Last week the run-off into the river was enough to flood it for a few days. The river flow is usually low enough for the water to pass under the causeway but here it’s about 25 cm (10 inches) above the road.
In comparison, here’s a photograph of the same crossing with little water (and somewhat parched looking).
