House on farmland

House in midst of farmland

I’ve wanted to take a photograph of this house for some time now. It’s only a short distance off the road I take when driving home from town but I decided that the best spot to take the photograph was some distance away from the house itself, requiring me to use my long lens. So today I had the telephoto lens plus tele-converter which, when combined, give me up to 510mm (35mm equivalent).

We’ve have over 80m of rain (nearly 3.5 inches) in the past week or so, so the surrounding area is looking pretty green at the moment. I like the rust on the corrugated iron roof adding some character to the building on the right (the owner might not agree).
