
I can’t recall ever seeing what I believe to be a moth caterpillar outside one of these shelters. The caterpillar lives and pupates within the mobile home of cut twigs and grass stalks. This particular specimen, about 2 cm long, is hanging from the whitewashed concrete that forms one of our water tanks. It’s quite a construction.
