Taken at Wamboin, NSW, a pretty Gang-gang Cockatoo munches her way though some seed pods. [This parrot is a female; the male of the species has a distinct red head and crest].

    Great Shot! How accommodating was she to let you get so close for such a shot. I imagine it was tricky to get the light right with the dappled sunlight. Question – how do I decide whether to use the gum flower or the Gang-gang as my background?
