While walking back up from the river at Kunderang West today, we came across this goanna pretending to be invisible. It was quite large, about 1.8m (6 ft) from tip of tail to nose. Here’s it’s at rest having climbed up a tree.

1,8 meters… That’s a whole lot of lizard. And I agree with Dullcie about those claws…
