
A few recent heavy showers caused the rainwater to run off (or over) the ground rather than soak in. The result is that the dams are now all but full (much to the delight of the resident turtles and frogs). Hmmm, wait a minute…. More frogs will mean that more snakes will be around looking for tasty snacks.

Thanks for today’s photo; how about the noise from the frogs as they breed? Are you at a distance which will not make that intrusive?
This particular dam is about 500m from the house so frog noise isn’t a problem.
