Taken after the storm. The sky was black and menacing, but the sun was low enough in the sky to light this gum tree and give a gloriously contrasting image.

The summer storm season started early this year. The Bureau of Meteorology issued a severe storm warning which included “destructive winds”. The storm wasn’t as severe as it could have been, but the rain was impressive, albeit short-lived.
