We had a storm last night, followed by some lighter rain. I found mother ‘roo feeding just outside the car-port as I left to take the dogs for a walk this morning; she looks a little wet. Little Joey was wriggling around inside the pouch - trying to get a better view. Actually, by the size of the pouch, “little” Joey can’t be all that little after all.

The rain over the past month or so, albeit bringing us up to only just over 50% of the annual rainfall for the year to date, transformed the crusty brown farmland into, visually at least, something more pleasant. I say “visually” because, although the grass looks lush and healthy, there’s not much body to it yet.
