
A couple of Satin Bowerbirds continue to raid the strawberry patch. Their plumage indicates that they are female, or immature males. The mature male is black with a glossy purple-blue sheen. Both sexes have stunning lilac-blue eyes.
This photograph is a 100% crop taken from a larger image. I look forward to the day when I have a suitable telephoto zoom lens to better capture such visiting fauna.
