Fox poison

Fox poison

It’s coming up to lambing season. That means that the local farmers are keen to minimise stock losses to foxes. Hence fox baiting. It’s a two-edged sword – remove feral foxes that erode income, and run the risk of killing innocent native fauna that scavenge the fox carcasses.

Kat,wake up find your pet chooks feathers everywhere, all dead and gone, you would not think them”cute”

yeah but at the same time, they keep the vermin population at the low cost of killing chickens, some farmers have come to realize this, besides, personally, i’d get a different pet than a chicken… chickens are just so… is flimsy the right word?

Agree with elaine – When you have had innocent hens killed by foxes, you will understand the farmers point of view. Foxes are like rats – uncontrolled vermin. Would you take a different point of view if your pet rabbit or cat, was ripped apart by a fox? They are just killing machines we dont need.
